When does the World Cup 2026 kick off, and who is hosting?
Football is making history in 2026, as the biggest tournament of the year is co-hosted by the USA, Canada, and Mexico, marking the first time three nations have shared the stage.
It kicks off on June 11 in Mexico City and wraps with the final on July 19 in New Jersey. The tournament will also have a record number of 48 teams playing and will run over 39 days, making it the biggest World Cup tournament ever.
Are England one of the favourites?
Despite 2026 marking a whopping 60 years of hurt, the Lions have certainly come close to a win in recent years. So painfully close, in fact, we could almost taste it!
We got to the Quarter Finals in 2022 and the Semi Finals in 2018, and the Final of the 2024 Euros. But do we have what it takes to make it to the final whistle as winners, and raise that trophy? Only time will tell!

Plus, countries like Mexico suffer very high heats during the middle of the day, meaning matches may be played early in the morning or well into the evening to keep players from overheating or suffering dehydration.
