Why the Poachers is the place to watch rugby live
Rugby is certainly a sport best experienced live, as the action unfolds right in front of you. There’s something truly special about being in the stadium, surrounded by the roar of the crowd and the sound of heartfelt singing.
But watching rugby in our pub is no poor substitute. Our big screens offer a great view of the action so you can catch every second of the game. Plus, there’s nothing quite like cheering alongside fellow pub-goers and passionate fans, sharing every tackle, try, and tense moment together, win or lose.
From kick-off to the final whistle, you can soak up the atmosphere and feel like you’re truly part of the game, not just a spectator. And what's more, we've got delicious dishes to keep you fuelled throughout, as well as flowing drinks to keep your thirst quenched. Whatever the rugby result, our team are here to pour.
When your country walks the fine line between glory and despair at the World Cup. When your team gets one over an old rival in the Six Nations. When a player creates a moment for the ages against Australia, New Zealand or South Africa on a British & Irish Lions tour. These are all the nail-biting moments you can experience in our pub.

BOOK A TABLE
Frequently asked questions
How do I book a table?
It's easy! Just head to our bookings page and select your fixture to join us.
Which fixtures can I book for?
As well as our named fixtures, which will be shown across all our sports pubs, there will also be Live Sport, a dedicated slot for other matches also on that day. Check our fixtures to see which games are up for grabs!
I can't see the fixture I'd like to book for - can I ask the pub to show it?
Sure! Simply book using our Live Sport option and in the special request box let us know which game you'd like to see. We'll do our best to get the game on for you, but sadly we can't guarantee every match will be shown.
How long do I get at my table?
3 hours, giving you up to an hour before the game plus time to discuss the match afterwards!
When can I arrive at the pub?
We'll have booking slots every 15 minutes for an hour before kick-off. Our team will be on hand to help out the best they can during busy matchdays.
When do I need to be at my table?
To ensure everyone gets a seat for all the action, all we ask is that you're at your table within 15 minutes of your chosen booking time. So, if your booking starts at 7pm for a 8pm kick-off, we'll need you to be there by 7.15pm. If you're not at your table 15 minutes after your booking, the table will be released.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
Nope! All we ask is that you're at your table in time!
