Four people gather in front of silver and gold metallic party backdrops during a festive New Year’s celebration. Three adults hold champagne flutes while one person wearing novelty red “Happy New Year” glasses stands in the centre. A child wearing a sequinned outfit stands nearby. A festive New Year’s celebration taking place in front of silver and gold metallic party backdrops. Why New Year’s Eve is better at the pub

The clock is ticking. The drinks are chilled. The good times are about to begin.

There’s something about New Year’s Eve that makes everyone a little more up for it. The music sounds better, the laughs get louder, and even the kids are allowed to run around until it gets super duper late. Bring the family, rally the mates or get the whole gang together for a proper end-of-year knees-up. Tuck into tasty food, raise a glass to the year gone by and soak up the countdown-to-midnight buzz.

Two stacked burgers topped with festive garnishes are served with chips, onion rings and gravy on red plates at a wooden table. Glasses of white wine, rosé and beer are arranged around the table, with diners seated nearby. The cosy pub setting features warm lighting and festive decorations in the background.

Feast before the celebrations

By New Year's Eve, we’ve got a very simple philosophy: if it can be crispy, cheesy, dippable or wrapped in something, we want it. So good news, our festive menu is available 12th November – 1st January, so there’s plenty of time to get your food fix. Because nobody wants their midnight celebration interrupted by a rumbling tum.

*A deposit of £5 per person is required to secure your booking.

Seriously snackable starters

Get things started with Breaded Brie Bites, crispy Chicken Strips with cranberry BBQ dip or, for the prawn-loving crowd, a classic Prawn Cocktail with Marie Rose sauce, malted bloomer bread and a little lemony zing. Or go straight into festive snack territory with pigs-in-blankets. Three if you’re feeling sensible. Nine if you’ve fully embraced Boxing Day.

Fancy a less planned out New Years? Then our Walk-in menu has the Loaded Chips. Crispy chips smothered in melted cheese, sliced pigs-in-blankets, stuffing and gravy. YUM!

A festive dining table in a Christmas-themed restaurant, with a decorated Christmas tree featuring red and gold baubles, candy cane ornaments and warm fairy lights in the background. One diner holds a plate topped with a stacked burger, onion rings and chips, while other diners sit around the table with food and drinks. White wine, beer, fruit juice and Christmas-themed table decorations are arranged on the table, creating a warm seasonal dining setting.

Mains that mean business

Before you start practising your countdown voice, there’s the small matter of dinner.

The Santa Stacker is back and bigger than your Boxing Day appetite, with crispy fried chicken, melted cheese, stuffing and cranberry sauce. Or go for the Fairytale New Yorker: crispy chicken, melted cheese, cranberry BBQ sauce and pigs-in-blankets, served with onion rings, coleslaw, peas and chips.

Little festive foodies can get in on the action too, with their own Traditional Festive Dinner, alongside favourites like Chicken Nuggets, Beef Burger, Impossible Nuggets and Quorn Sausages.

A Candy Mania dessert in a sundae glass on a wooden table.

Finish the year on a sweet note

Every great night needs a grand finale. And while midnight might be the official one, we reckon dessert deserves its own countdown.

Go full festive with a slice of Christmas Pudding, served warm with your choice of custard or rich brandy sauce. Or take the chocolate route with a warm Chocolate Fudge Cake. Fancy something a little lighter? Our White Chocolate & Raspberry Cheesecake brings vanilla cheesecake, raspberry coulis, white chocolate flavour sauce, crushed meringue, berries and vanilla flavour ice cream together in one seriously pretty pudding.

Then it’s time to raise those glasses, count down the final seconds and welcome in 2027 with a big old Hungry Horse cheer.
