Your ultimate guide to sports fixtures in 2026

2026 is set to be a huge year for sport. From the PDC World Championship in January to plenty of football fixtures and all the way to the final lap of the F1 season in December, you can catch the best live sports fixtures all year long in our Hungry Horse sports pubs. 

Let’s look at the 2026 sports fixtures and pick out some of the top highlights that'll be gracing our Sky Sports, TNT Sports and BBC Sports screens.

Football – Premier League, World Cup and more! 

Some huge matches are coming up in 2026. As we enter the new year, we start to get into the end-of-the -season business. It’s when the top teams really kick into gear, knowing that an unbeaten run can push them onto the title. We see you, Manchester City and Pep Guardiola.

Cup thrills

The Emirates FA Cup third round starts on Saturday, the 10th of January, with the big hitters entering the fray. The FA Cup final takes place on Saturday, the 16th of May, at Wembley, which is always an important date for your diary. The season's first silverware is available with the League Cup final on the 22nd of March, and the question we're all asking looms: who'll take the crown this year?

Season climax

The final week of the Premier League season finishes on Sunday, the 24th of May, with the Champions League final the following Saturday, on the 30th of May, in Budapest. The Europa League final is on the 20th of May in Istanbul, making for a packed month of important live football matches. 

The 2026 FIFA World Cup

It's that time again! All eyes turn to the USA, Canada and Mexico for a month of unmissable action with the ultimate goal in mind. Is it finally England's year? Can Scotland make it to the knockouts? It's all to play for. 

Rugby – Six Nations, Autumn Nations and Rugby League World Cup 

Our rugby teams have been putting in some stellar performances in 2025, but in 2026? It's all to play for. 

After England took the trophy in the 2025 Women's Rugby World Cup, the Red Roses have a reputation to uphold in 2026! We'll see the girls take to the pitch in the Six Nations from the 11th of April until the 17th of May with four 'Super Saturday' sessions throughout the tournament. The Men's Six Nations kicks off on the 5th of February and ends with France v England on Sunday the 14th of March. 

And don't miss the Autumn Nations! From the 4th of October until the 29th of November, the best of the best from across the globe will compete in another month-long tournament full of unforgettable rugby fixtures with plenty of results to shake up the standings. 

The Rugby League World Cup takes to Australia and Papua New Guinea with ten nations in the men's tournament and eight nations in the women's tournament. The final is set for Sunday, the 15th of November, and it's sure to be a try for sore eyes. 

Cricket on the wicket 

2025 was a big year of action on the wicket, with 2026 a little quieter on the cricket fixtures list. 

But, there are still plenty of top-class cricket competitions to enjoy! The Men's ICC T20 World Cup takes place from the 1st of February until the 1st of March and the ICC Women's T20 World Cup begins on the 12th of June until the 5th of July, with England and Wales hosting the tournament. 

The tennis schedule

With four majors beginning in January and taking us through to September, there's always a racket nearby in 2026.

Get your whites washed

It’s time to don your cleanest, crispest whites and head down to one of our sports pubs to catch everyone’s favourite tennis tournament, Wimbledon! Running from the 29th of June until the 12th of July, we'll be keeping up with all the action from SW19 shown live on our BBC Sport screens in our pubs.  

Hard court action 

Before we step onto the grass at Wimbledon, there’s the small matter of the Australian Open from the 12th of January until the 1st of February, followed by the French Open from the 25th of May until the 2nd of June. 

Clay, today? 

The final grand slam of the year is the US Open from the 25th of August to the 7th of September. Will we see Skinner take all four titles this year? 

Grand slam golf 

If you love catching golf and golf results on the big screen at a sports pub, key dates for your 2026 sporting diary include:  

• The Masters: 9th - 12th April 
• The US PGA: 14th - 17th May 
• The US Open: 18th - 21st June  
• The Open: 16th - 19th July 
• The Solheim Cup: 7th - 13th September 
• The President's Cup: 22nd - 27th September 

Big boxing blowouts 

There will be plenty of big fights in 2026, with some fierce competitors taking to the ring once again. While we're waiting to see whether Mike Tyson makes it back into the ring, it's likely that Oleksandr Usyk will face Joseph Parker to defend his undisputed status. And, British boxing fans are all holding out hope for the Fury v Joshua fight that's been five years in the making.

But, there are plenty of other weight categories with plenty more fights on the cards, and we can't wait to see which contests take to the canvas. 

F1 and MotoGP – we can't keep up!

Gear up for some fast and exciting motorsport action in our sports pubs too. From qualifying to the podium results, the F1 season begins in March with the Australian Grand Prix from the 6th to the 8th of March. The first GMT-appropriate race is in Bahrain from the 10th to the 12th of April. A couple more dates to lock in are the Monaco Grand Prix on the 7th of June and our favourite race of the year, the British Grand Prix at Silverstone from the 3rd until the 5th of July. The season culminates with the final race in Abu Dhabi on the 6th of December.

The MotoGP season begins with the Thailand Grand Prix from the 27th of February until the 1st of March, with races in the likes of Brazil, Spain, Le Mans, Mugello, Silverstone, Indonesia and Malaysia throughout the 22-race season. The final lap of the 2026 season finishes on the 22nd of November in Valencia. The British Grand Prix is round 13, on the 9th of August at Silverstone.

Plus, there's Indy 500 action on the 24th of May and the iconic 24 Hours of Le Mans from the 10th until the 14th of June. Gentlemen, start your engines!

Horse racing – we certainly can't run that fast 

There’s nothing like watching horse racing in one of our Hungry Horse sports pubs. And there really isn’t a more exciting race to capture the UK public’s imagination than the Grand National. The big one will be run on the 11th of April, but the real question is: who are you backing? 

Cheltenham Festival runs from the 10th to the 13th of March, with the Gold Cup held on Friday the 13th of March, and don’t miss the Epsom Derby on Saturday the 6th of June, Royal Ascot from the 16th to the 20th of June, the Kentucky Derby on the 2nd of May and the Melbourne Cup on the 3rd of November. The best of the rest

Other top sporting events not to miss in 2026 include the Tour de France from the 4th to the 26th of July, the NFL Super Bowl at Levi's Stadium on the 8th of February, and the World Snooker Championship from the 18th of April to the 4th of May. And it's the Winter Olympics year too! This year, we'll be keeping an eye on Milan as Great Britain takes to the Alps in snowy competitions to bring home the gold.
