We’re proud to have been partnering with Macmillan Cancer Support for more than 14 years. As part of Greene King, we’ve helped raise more than £27 million for this amazing charity, supporting its vital work with people living with cancer and their loved ones across the UK.
And our teams really do go the extra mile when it comes to fundraising. From taking on personal challenges and putting on charity events to coming up with wonderfully inventive ways to raise a few quid, there’s no shortage of ways our Hungry Horse teams get stuck in.
You can also help us support Macmillan when you visit us. Whether it’s donating through the app, adding a little extra at the till with pennies, popping something in one of our collection tins or choosing one of our selected dishes that includes a donation, every little bit helps.
It all adds up to make a big difference, and we couldn’t do it without you, our brilliant customers.
New for 2026: Our Rice Bowl, created with Macmillan
Good food that does a bit of good? Now that’s a bowl worth tucking into.
Our new Rice Bowl has been created in collaboration with Macmillan Cancer Support to offer a light, tasty and nutritionally balanced option. It’s packed with basmati rice, char-grilled peppers and onions, sweet chilli slaw and cucumber, with your choice of grilled chicken breast, grilled salmon fillet or halloumi strips.
We know that eating out can sometimes be tricky for people going through cancer treatment. Appetites, tastes and dietary needs can change, so our food development team has worked closely with a Macmillan-funded dietitian to create the Rice Bowl with care, making sure the ingredients are suitable for people who may be receiving cancer treatment.
And there’s another reason to feel good about tucking in: 30p from every Rice Bowl sold will be donated to Macmillan Cancer Support.

In 2025, these dishes helped us raise more than £100,000 for Macmillan. That money goes directly towards helping the charity provide vital support, information and advice to people living with cancer and their loved ones.
